Craft projects incorporating your child's hands or feet are great ways to document growth over the years. Not only that, but the results are always adorable!
This "hand" some fish in a bowl incorporates a few unique 3D elements, making it both fun to display and destined to become a great keepsake.
What You Need:
- Glue
- Inkpad or washable markers
- Scissors
- One googly eye
- One black marker
- White buttons, beads, or cotton balls for bubbles
- Blue construction paper (or color of choice for tank)
- Yellow construction paper (or color of choice for fish)
- Dried beans or small pebbles
What You Do:
- Draw and cut out a fish tank, shape, and size of choice. I free-handed the one in the picture, making sure it was well over the size of my child's hand.
- Trace your child's hand on the yellow piece of paper and cut it out.
- Put ink (or marker) on the thumbs (or all fingers) and put fingerprints on the "fins" of the fish.
- Glue on an eye (or draw one if you don't have googly eyes) and draw a mouth with a marker.
- Glue the fish onto the blue paper (tank).
- Use pebbles or beans for the rocks at the bottom. Use buttons, beads, or cotton for the bubbles. Glue the remainder of the items to decorate the fish tank.
