Craft Corner: DIY Mini Pumpkin Candle

🍂 Cool Craft for Autumn

By Heather Bauer October 6, 2015

Fall foliage and produce is the easiest way to update your decor with the change of seasons. These adorable pumpkin candles are so easy to make!

What You Need

  • A mini pumpkin
  • Wax
  • Cotton twine

What You Do

1.) Cut the top off a mini pumpkin and clean out the seeds (an ice cream scoop works well).

2.) Melt the wax of your choosing — even plain ol' kitchen wax works.

3.) Fill the pumpkin with the melted wax.

4.) Cut a short piece of twine and coat it in the melted wax.

5.) When the wax in the pumpkin has cooled slightly, insert the wick.

6.) Let the wax cool completely and enjoy your pumpkin candle!

The day after I made the pumpkin candles, I went back and added another layer of wax, completely covering the tops of the pumpkins, to help preserve them.
