Mother's Day and Teacher Appreciation Day aren't the only holidays this week. Star Wars fans of all ages will be saying "May the Fourth Be With You" to everyone they meet!
This message of A New Hope was first publicly proclaimed in 1979 when Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister of England. Her political party placed an advertisement in a paper saying, "May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations."
Since 2013, Walt Disney has officially observed the holiday with Star Wars-themed events and activities at their amusement parks. Minor League Baseball teams have donned special uniforms in celebration. Astronauts in the International Space Station have even marked the occasion by watching the original movie that started it all!
The unofficial holiday has become so popular that some fans also celebrate the Dark Side the following day, calling it "Revenge of the Fifth," a play on the title of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

What You Need:
- Brown washable paint
- Paintbrushes
- Black marker or paint
- Construction paper
- Glitter, if you like sparkle
What You Do:
1.) Paint your child's hand or foot with brown paint.
2.) Press hand onto construction paper.
3.) Wait for the paint to dry, then you can either add the eyes using black paint or draw them with a black marker.
4.) Paint a bandolier across the chest, then paint white dots on it.
5.) Proudly display your finished artwork!
