Make the most of your family's time indoors with a camp or class through Parker Arts over Winter Break and beyond. The Town of Parker's Cultural Department offers a wide variety of educational programming and entertainment for every member of your family.

Winter Break Camps will keep your kids having so much fun, they won't even realize how much they are learning!
  • Holiday Photo, Art, & Cooking Camp (Ages 6-12): Each day offers something new in this fun holiday-themed combo camp. December 19-22, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Talk to the Camera News Broadcast Camp (Ages 6-13): Through lively interviews, amusing commercials and empowering games, kids will create their own broadcast! December 19-22, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • JediCraft Adventure Game Using LEGO® (Ages 5-6): Roll the dice to gather Jedi resources. Then build a Pod Racer, craft a Droid, or create the treehouse village of Endor! December 19-22, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • JediCraft Survival Game Using LEGO® (Ages 7-12): Mine, craft, and build the Star Wars universe using LEGO! This advanced Play-Well LEGO game is inspired by the Minecraft tablet game and the Star Wars fantasy setting. December 19-22, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

The Family Discovery Series offers unique and entertaining shows at the incredibly affordable price of just $5 per person!
  • Animal Expeditions with the Denver Zoo: Participants will travel to different geographical biomes around the world to visit grasslands, rain forests, deserts, wetlands, and temperate forests to come face-to-face with exciting live animals and learn all about their adaptations and habitats. January 7 at 10:00 AM.
  • Busker and Me: Don't miss the adventures of Busker, the mischievous circus dog, and his bumbling side-kick, Mr. Art Guffaw. Together they turn the circus upside down in this laugh out loud performance complete with puppetry, juggling, magic and hilarious stunts. March 4 at 10:00 AM.
  • Astronomy 101 - The Life Cycle of Stars: Trace the birth, life, and death of the stars, featuring the topics of starburst nebulae, red giants, supernovas, white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes. Presentation followed by viewing the night sky through a telescope and hot cocoa! March 9 at 7:00 PM.
  • Astronomy 101 - Wonders of the Spring Sky: Explore constellations of note, Spring Equinox, sun signs, and Hubble images of wonder hidden in the spring night sky. Presentation followed by viewing the night sky through a telescope and hot cocoa! April 6 at 7:00 PM.
  • Hunk Ta Bunk Ta Band: Ring in the spring with original and traditional songs from her 12 award-winning albums known Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta Music. April 29 at 10:00 AM.
  • Siren Song: A Pirate Odyssey: A brand-new, fanciful, buddy-play version of The Odyssey told in a short episode based upon a song suggested by the audience! Come explore how sound can function as a vehicle for the imagination in this Buntport Theater adaptation. May 20 at 10:00 AM.

With programs from science to performing arts, Youth Classes allow children to explore a new interest or dig deeper into a developed passion.
  • Performing Arts programs give budding super stars age-appropriate opportunities in classes for every age, from toddlers to teens. Sing, dance, learn improv, perform, and more!
  • Science classes for ages 5-12 are one-day workshops that take kids on a hands-on, minds-on ride through space.
  • Art classes cover a wide range of topics, from photography to cake decorating, as well as classical instruction using different mediums.
  • Children as young as 3 will enjoy music, movement, and fun! Older kids can try their hand (literally) at the guitar.
