One of our Macaroni Moms, Nicole D., posted this on Facebook and we thought the idea was so great we asked her if we could please share it. Her dear friend, Leah, gave her the adventure calendar pictured above several years ago.
Each day in December, the children pull a new Advent-ire from the square and the whole family participates in it together. The activities can be tailored to each family's interests and schedule.
You can create a beautiful garland like the one in the picture, or keep it really simple and just use envelopes with the dates on the front of each one for the kids to open each morning. What a wonderful way to embrace the holiday and spend time together as a family!
Below is a list of ideas you can use, or create your own!
