Gifts for Guys

By Kyrie Collins, Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock Publisher December 19, 2012
My friends and I all agree that our husbands can be hard to shop for. After many conversations with friends, emails to dads I know, and weird internet searches, we've compiled a list of unique ideas to make your shopping a little easier:
  • Indoor Skydiving at SkyVenture Colorado. This will work even if he's afraid of heights. Or take to the skies in a Flight Simulator Package from Aviation Xtreme.
  • Matching socks and underwear. Hear me out on this one. For my husband's birthday, our boys found skull socks/underwear sets and banana sets too (in the men's section at Target, although I suspect lots of places carry them). My husband loves them! I think it adds just a touch of silliness to his button-up days.
  • A personalized BBQ Branding Iron. Or personalized leather apron. Or special BBQ Sauce Gift Sets. TexasIrons.com has an amazing selection.
  • Photo cuff links. I gave these to my husband years ago and they were probably one of his favorite gifts ever. You may not be able to get this in time for Christmas though.
  • Try a (fill in the blank)-of-the-Month Club. AmazingClubs.com has nearly 40 different types, from Bacon to Wine and everything in between. Most have 3-month, 6-month, and seasonal options and you can choose the month of the first shipment.
  • Tickets or passes to something he'll love. Tickets to the first Rockies home game of the 2013 season. Movie passes with a note that he can use them to go see a GUY movie with a friend ... something directed by Quentin Tarentino or Oliver Stone perhaps. Tickets to the Teton Gravity Research Ski and Ride Movies at The Wildlife Experience in January are perfect for the snowboarder or skier in your life.
  • Something for his gadgets, like an iPhone all-in-one case and wallet or a new tablet cover. Here are 10 great gadget gifts under $25 from Living on the Cheap.
