- Hard boil and peel one dozen eggs.
- Cool, peel, and then cut in half lengthwise.
- Scoop out the yolk centers into a bowl.
- Set aside the empty halves. Be careful – they are delicate!
- Prepare the yolk centers with your own deviled egg recipe.
- Fill half the eggs with the deviled egg yolk mix, overfilling a bit.
- Cap the egg with the other half as the topper.
- Cut black olive for eyes and carrot for the beak.
