We made this cute cake for Easter last year and it was a bit hit with kids and adults alike! The grocery stores already have all the candy needed so I say... why wait till Easter?!?!
Spring Time Peeps Cake
- Your favorite yellow or white cake mix (and ingredients called for on box)
- Food coloring
- Frosting (homemade or store-bought)
- Bunny Peeps in assorted colors
- Jelly beans, candy-coated chocolate eggs, or any other cake decorations you desire!
Mix cake as directed on box. Separate batter to make two 8" or 9" round cakes. Color each layer of cake with food coloring (we did one blue and one green). Bake cake as directed and let cool. Layer cakes on top of each other with a layer of frosting in between.
Cover entire cake with frosting. Place colored Peeps around the sides of cake.
Decorate top of cake with remaining candy treats. Enjoy!
