Just in time for the peak season of family movies, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (Rated PG), the highly-anticipated third installment in the successful series, is now in theaters nationwide.

Synopsis: Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever! Larry (Ben Stiller) returns for more after-hours action in the museum. When the magic that brings the exhibits to life begins to fade, Larry rallies his historical friends for a trip to London and the adventure of a lifetime to save the magic before it is gone forever.

As a parent, it is really hard to find a good movie that is appropriate for a tween. Not G or PG-13, but truly PG. My son is 10 and I prefer not to have him overexposed to gratuitous violence, overt sexual content or innuendos, and other elements that I feel are inappropriate for him. This last and final installment of the Night at the Museum series was perfect for my tween.

As you know this film is all about the museum coming to life! The special effects are fun and enjoyable — ever seen a dinosaurs play fetch or bronze kitties go after lasers? And the action is thrilling for the kids with swords, chases, lava flows, explosions and more. This film offered closure to many of the questions and relationships that we have seen in the last two films. We discover how the gold tablets were created and how they work - or don't! Ahkmenraha is reunited with his parents and Teddy gets the girl! I could have done without the side romantic plot with the cave man but I really enjoyed Rebel Wilson so that was a trade off!

Overall, we would give it a 9 out of 10 for the age group targeted, which is 7-11. Your kids will want to see this and will definitely get a kick out of it! Enjoy the ride! And a fond farewell, Robin and Mickey ...
