Beep, beep! Buckle your seatbelts and hold on tight! The Castle Rock Police Department is excited to bring back a favorite community event for its milestone 10th year: Touch-A-Truck! CRPD started this free event in 2016, and it continues to grow every year.
Sit in the driver's seat and explore the many vehicles that serve our community.
These trucks usually plow streets, work construction sites, and save lives, but for this event, they'll be waiting to meet you. From police cars to firetrucks to helicopters and more, there is something for everyone!
Not only will kids get a chance to climb inside and take pictures of the various trucks, but their operators will also be on hand to explain how everything works and what role these vehicles play in the community.
"Our goal is for families to leave the event with a better understanding of the role each of these trucks and vehicles plays in keeping residents safe," said event organizers from the Castle Rock Police Department. "At the event, we have a little of everything from first responders to construction, transportation, and landscaping companies."
Castle Rock Police Department is committed to providing a more inclusive community. The "No Horn" hour from 9am to 10am is for children with special needs, auditory sensitivity issues, or prefer a more relaxed experience — no horns, music, or sirens!

This year's milestone event will also feature:
- Bubble Discovery Zone from Colorado Foam and Bubble Parties, where kids can learn to create bubbles of all shapes and sizes
- Live music from the U.S. Army Rock Band
- Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Kona Ice and Troop 261
