What better way to prepare for Thanksgiving than to create something as a family to remember everything that we're thankful for! A special thank you to a Macaroni Kid reader/mom, Nanette, for this wonderful contribution!
What You Need:
- Vase, any size or shape
- Bare twigs from a tree or purchase bamboo twigs
- Base to hold twigs in place (dried beans, glass pebbles, rice, etc.)
- Mini clothespins
- Cardstock for creating leaf shapes
- Felt marker
- Black and white photos (optional)
What You Do:
- Pour base into vase, about 2-3 inches deep
- Arrange sticks/twigs
- Cut out fall leaves with cardstock (you can find templates on the internet)
- Ask family and friends to share what they are thankful for on the leaves
- Attach leaves to twigs with clothespins
