🦃 Cute Craft for Thanksgiving

By Nanette Sposito November 9, 2011

What better way to prepare for Thanksgiving than to create something as a family to remember everything that we're thankful for! A special thank you to a Macaroni Kid reader/mom, Nanette, for this wonderful contribution!

What You Need:

  • Vase, any size or shape
  • Bare twigs from a tree or purchase bamboo twigs
  • Base to hold twigs in place (dried beans, glass pebbles, rice, etc.)
  • Mini clothespins
  • Cardstock for creating leaf shapes
  • Felt marker
  • Black and white photos (optional)

What You Do:

  1. Pour base into vase, about 2-3 inches deep
  2. Arrange sticks/twigs
  3. Cut out fall leaves with cardstock (you can find templates on the internet)
  4. Ask family and friends to share what they are thankful for on the leaves
  5. Attach leaves to twigs with clothespins
