Craft Corner: Easter Bunny Jar

🐰 Cute Craft for Easter

By Vicki Little March 28, 2012

Easter is just around the corner! Now is the time to plan the perfect little gift for your little one to give to special loved one's in their life. A little jar to hold some yummy jelly beans is easy and a perfect gift that can be pulled out year after year!

What You Need:

  • Clean glass baby food jar with lid
  • Pencil
  • Cotton balls
  • Elmer's glue
  • 2 googly eyes
  • Pink paint/paintbrush
  • 1 piece of white construction paper
  • 1 pink chenille stem
  • Small pink pom-pom
  • Scissors

What You Do:

Fold the white construction paper in half and draw a bunny ear on the top half. Cut out the ear (make sure to separate the sides if you cut by the joined edge) so you end up with two symmetrical ears.

Let your little one paint pink on the front side of the ears and the lid of the jar, on the outside only. Allow to dry.

Drizzle glue all around the glass jar and smear with a cotton ball. Let your kiddo put the rest of the cotton balls on the glue; press down to get it to stick well.

Place the eyes and nose on the jar using glue. Cut the chenille stem in half. Glue one end of each stem near the nose, hiding in the cotton balls. When dry, put the lid on the jar and tighten.

Glue the ears to the side of the lid, on the opposite side of the face. Fill with jelly beans or other small treats and enjoy!
