Save the Date for Top Chef Hugh Acheson!

Join Douglas County Libraries and Top Chef restaurateur Hugh Acheson for a culinary trip Down South! Events take place on September 29 at the PACE Center in Parker.

Top Chef Mile High at 10:00 AM
Acheson will host local chefs as they compete Top Chef-style to win the hearts and taste buds of the audience and local judges. The award-winning cookbook author will provide contest commentary and tell Top Chef survival stories. A light breakfast and lunch will be served, and guests will enjoy giveaways and door prizes. Acheson’s book will be available for sale and signing by the author.

Southern Flavor Reinvented at 6:00 PM
Enjoy a presentation by award-winning chef and author Acheson, plus appetizer and dessert samples from local eateries, a bourbon tasting and a book signing. This author event is part of Douglas County Libraries’ Project: LIVE! Author Series.

Hugh Acheson’s cookbook A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented for Your Kitchen is the winner of the 2012 James Beard Foundation Award, and will be available for purchase courtesy of the Tattered Cover Book Store. A portion of book sales benefit Douglas County Libraries.
