August is National Peach Month! Why not celebrate with this easy cobbler recipe?

Grandma's Peach Cobbler

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter (one stick)
  • 1 pound of fresh or frozen peach slices

Preheat oven to 350˚F. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and milk. Stir with a wire whisk until blended.

Meanwhile, place butter in a 9x13-inch glass casserole dish; melt the butter in the microwave. Pour batter evenly over the butter and then top with peach slices. Bake for 55 minutes. The batter will puff up around the fruit and brown slightly.

Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
