Dixie Longate, the fast-talking Tupperware Lady, packed up her catalogues, left her children in an Alabama trailer park, and took Off-Broadway by storm! Now, she's traveling across the country throwing good ol’ fashioned parties with the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on a stage. Dixie is the #1 personal Tupperware seller and after spending an hour and a half with her, I could certainly see why!

This show is a real Tupperware Party filled with funny anecdotes, lots of jokes, audience interaction, giveaways, and Dixie's unique perspective on those famous bowls (and more) that have been in virtually every American kitchen since 1948.

Dixie is bawdy, spicy, suggestive, charming, and even a little improper at times — although don't tell her I said so as I think it might offend her delicate nature. She showcases some of her favorite Tupperware pieces and offers use suggestions you might not have thought of. ("It holds 18 cupcakes, a sheet cake, or 34 Jell-o shots.") Although I wasn't planning on buying anything, I couldn't resist the adult sippy cups, especially since they came filled with Dixie's special Trailer Park Punch!

Besides the humor, Dixie also tells a bit of the history of Tupperware throughout the show, focusing particularly on Brownie Wise, the woman who was largely responsible for Tupperware's success by creating and hosting the home party. Direct sales marketing generates more than $100 billion in sales every year; more than half of adults in the US have purchased products or services from a direct selling representative. Three cheers for Brownie Wise and innovative women everywhere!

Full of risque language and adult humor, this show is not for kids. It does make a GREAT girls' night out, although there was also a surprisingly large number of couples in the audience. Most of the men said it was their first Tupperware party, and they all laughed and seemed to have as much fun as the women! Tickets start at $39. Buy and print online at DenverCenter.org or call (303) 893-4100. Seriously, you don't want to miss the fun!
