My kiddos are both reading chapter books, and they usually read two to three books at a time so they use a lot of bookmarks. This simple craft lets us upcycle our empty cereal or snack boxes, plus makes use of the hundreds of stickers we've got lying around!
What You Need:
- Cardboard cereal, cookie or cracker boxes
- Scissors
- Hold punch
- Yarn or ribbon
- Stickers and stamps to decorate with
What You Do:
- For each bookmark, cut a piece of cardboard approximately 6 inches long by 2 inches wide.
- Cut one piece of yarn or ribbon for each bookmark approximately 10 inches.
- Punch a hole in the top center of each bookmark.
- Decorate plain cardboard side with stickers and stamps.
- Feed the piece of yarn through hole and tie a knot to hold in place.
