Get ready for St. Patrick's Day with a shamrock necklace!
What You Need:
- Penne pasta (my daughter who is 4 used 16 pieces)
- Green acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- String or yarn for your necklace
- Shamrock cut out Hole puncher
What You Do:
- Paint your penne pasta.
- Let the pasta dry (you can make the shamrock cut out while waiting).
- Punch two holes in the top leaf of the shamrock.
- String 8 to 12 painted penne onto the necklace, add the shamrock, followed by another 8 to 12 painted penne.
Editor's Note: Another way to dye pasta is to put it in a plastic zipper bag, then add a squirt of hand sanitizer and green food coloring. Seal the bag and shake until all the pasta is coated, adding more food coloring or sanitizer if needed. Spread pasta onto wax paper and let dry overnight.
