Macaroni Craft: Milk Jug Catchers & Newspaper Balls

☀️ Cool Craft for Summer Fun

By Jamie Twarogowski April 22, 2015

These milk jug catchers are so simple to make and fun for all ages. Gallon-sized milk jugs are perfect for younger kids, half-gallon for your older kids. My four-year-old loved the gallon-sized catchers, as the hole was wide enough for her to catch the ball yet challenging for her level of coordination.

Super simple project from start to play time... hours of fun from recycled materials.

What You Need:

  • 2 Plastic Milk Jugs
  • Scissors
  • Decorative Tape
  • Newspaper

What You Do:

  1. Cut the bottom off the milk jugs; leaving the entire handle intact.
  2. Use the decorative tape to cover the edges and make it safe. Your kiddos can help decorate and personalize their own catchers
  3. For the balls, just wad up a bunch of newspaper, as large as you want the ball to be (keeping in mind that it needs to fit in the jug). Then cover with decorative tape.
