Roundup River Ranch: A Camp for Seriously Ill Children

June 28, 2017

Roundup River Ranch is the place where kids with serious illnesses can take a true vacation from
being "a patient" and get back to the fun of being a kid! Serving children ages 7-17 and their families, more than 1,000 campers experience Roundup River Ranch each year. We welcome campers from across Colorado and an 11-state region. That makes for a huge number of potential new BFFs!

Each session is focused on a specific set of medical conditions so that campers are surrounded by others who understand what they are going through and who have similar experiences. This creates truly unique opportunities for friendships to develop.

2017 Summer Camp dates:

  • June 25-30
  • July 7-12
  • July 16-21
  • July 26-31

A Priceless Experience Without a Price Tag
Every one of our campers gets to enjoy life-changing experiences for free. No camper, or their family, ever pays a penny. That's free happiness for kids with serious illnesses and no charge for experiencing worry-free, giggle-infused, friendship-rich time surrounded by incredible love, support, and world-class medical care.

What Can You Do at Camp?
Our intentional programming philosophy means campers choose what they want to tackle, push themselves to try new things, and celebrate their accomplishments with the entire camp. Here's just a sampling of the things that make Roundup River Ranch so amazing:

  • A crazy-fun zip line
  • The awesome climbing wall
  • Canoes, beautiful canoes.
  • A fishing lake (catch, wish, and release)
  • Horseback riding
  • Archery
  • The Art Yurt (seriously, you have to see it to believe it!)
  • Songs, dancing, Stage Night, no-hands spaghetti dinner, and so much more!

Families Get in the Fun Here, Too!
We not only provide summer camp sessions for children, we also offer some special sessions where siblings ages 7-17 are invited to come along to camp. Plus, we have Family Camps with fun for the whole family. Upcoming 2017 Family Camp dates:

  • August 4-6
  • August 25-27
