Macaroni Review: Pie Face Game from Hasbro

By Kyrie Collins, Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree Publisher June 28, 2016

Have you heard of the Pie Face game from Hasbro? My kids have... and they were thrilled when we were selected to host a sponsored party and invite some friends to come play the game with us!

Pie Face is the perfect game for a large gathering because it is as much fun to watch as it is to participate. Although we had planned to play outside, a sudden afternoon thunderstorm kept us inside. I was relieved that the whipped cream stayed pretty contained on the players' faces and on the game itself. The game is easily disassembled and reassembled so you can clean up as you go if need be.

The game is easy-peasy to play with no special skills required — just spin the wheel, position your face, and turn the handles. If you don't get "pie-faced" on your turn, you get double the number you spun. If you do get hit, you don't get any points. The first person to reach 25 points wins the game ... but nearly everyone will get a taste of whipped cream before that happens!

We made our adults-only round even messier (and yummier!) by adding a bit of chocolate syrup to our pile of whipped cream. For less mess, the game comes with a sponge that you can use in lieu of whipped cream. No one in our group voted to go that route. Many of our players were smart enough to play with their mouths wide open!

Everyone had a blast playing the game! The anticipation builds quickly while playing and it was so much fun for the kids to see their friends — and parents — get pie-faced. Purchase the Pie Face game for your next backyard party or BBQ. It's available at HasbroToyShop.com and at most major retail stores. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
