When I mentioned I was bringing ham & cheese sandwiches to our last potluck dinner, I think they were expecting a boring appetizer... but not with these! You will amaze the guests at your next party with this recipe. These are very simple to make; in fact, my daughter did most of it herself!

Ham & Cheese Party Sandwiches

  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham
  • 8 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
  • 2 packages sweet dinner rolls
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons poppy seeds

Preheat your oven to 350℉. Using a long serrated knife, slice all the rolls at once.

Place the bottoms on a sheet pan. We lined ours with foil and lightly oiled it for easier cleanup. Cover the bottoms with the sliced ham and Swiss cheese.

Replace the tops, then separate into individual sandwiches by cutting around each.

Using a small bowl, melt the butter and combine with the brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and poppy seeds. Pour over all the sandwiches. (You can sprinkle the poppy seeds on the top instead of adding them to the sauce, if you prefer.)

Bake for 15 minutes or until slightly browned and the cheese is melted.
