🎃 Great Events for the Halloween season

Trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood can sometimes pose a challenge, mostly because everyone else is also prowling around in search of their own treats. I am grateful that we have lots of safe options for collecting candy.

Following are the ones that we've found so far in Douglas County, but if we're missing one, please complete our Submit an Event form so we can add it to the list!

 WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11

Flu Vaccine Clinic and Trunk or Treat
Parker Pediatrics and Adolescents, Parker
5:30–7:30 PM • All Ages • FREE!

The staff of PPA will be dressed up and ready to welcome you with all the treats and no tricks! This event is done in conjunction with a flu vaccine clinic, BUT you can still come if you are not scheduled in the clinic! If you do want the vaccine, please call (303) 841-2905 to schedule.

 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15

Hallelujah Harvest Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat
Trinity Lutheran Church, Franktown
12:00–3:00 PM • All Ages • FREE!

All are welcome to enjoy free fun for families in Trinity’s parking lot. There will be food, a bounce house, face painting, trunks for trick or treating, and so much more! Children are invited to wear costumes and bring bags for candy.

 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21

Spooktacular
Philip S. Miller Park, Castle Rock
1:00 PM–4:00 PM • Ages 0-10 • FREE!

It’s Halloween and time to celebrate all things not-so-spooky at Spooktacular. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged but not required. Activities include games, prizes, food, and of course, candy. This free event is held outdoors, so please dress warmly.

Fieldhouse Fright Night

Kids will find tricks and treats galore as they make their way around Trick-or-Treat Street, play goblin games, visit Story Adventure Walk for the littles and Haunted House for the bigs, conquer the Rock'n Halloween Climbing Wall, and play superhero with the Parker Police Department and South Metro Safety Foundation!

Trunk or Treat brings trick or treating to the parking lot at Parker UMC. Get some candy, see the awesome cars, fellowship with community folks, and play some outdoor games.

 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24

Trunk or Treat
First United Methodist Church, Castle Rock
6:00–7:00 PM • All Ages • FREE!

Don't miss FUMC's annual Trunk or Treat. The Boy Scouts will provide hot dogs, and various people will have trunks set up for all to come and receive treats.

ThunderRidge High School, Highlands Ranch
6:00 PM–7:30 PM • Ages 4-12 • FREE!

Trick-or-Treat in a safe environment. Themes include Princesses, Heroes, Hotel Transylvania, and more! Canned food donations are appreciated but not required.

Dress up in costumes and enjoy a safe and fun Trunk-or-Treat in the lower parking lot!

 THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26

Trick-or-Treat Street
Ponderosa High School, Parker
4:00 PM–6:00 PM • Ages 0-10 • Donation

This is a safe indoor event for young children that includes Trick-or-Treat activities and games. Admission is a donation of cash or a nonperishable food item for the Parker Task Force.

 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27

Trick or Treat Sweet Street
Little Monkey Bizness, Parker
3:00 PM–6:00 PM • All Ages • FREE!

Enjoy an afternoon of family fun, community, play, and CANDY! Take a stroll down Sweet Street to participating businesses on three corners of South Progress Way and Plaza Drive.

Trunk or Treat in a safe space. Activities will take place in the student parking lot. The event is free; monetary donations to the Backpack Society are welcome!

Bring your candy bag, come dressed in a costume, and get free candy at your local Lowe’s store.

Trunk or Treat ~ CANCELLED
The Meadows Early Learning Center, Parker

10:00 AM–1:00 PM • Ages 2-10 • FREE!
The Meadows Early Learning Center is hosting its annual Trunk-or-Treat. This event is open to all families. Dress up in your favorite costume and get ready for some yummy treats.

Fall Fest & Trick or Treat Street
The Village at Castle Pines
10:00 AM–2:00 PM • All Ages • FREE!

Calling all little ghosts and goblins! The annual Fall Festival at the Village Square shopping area will include face painting, hayrides, a petting zoo, food trucks, and a pumpkin race! Trick or Treat Street is at TWO locations this year: Village Square Shopping Area and Village Shops at Castle Pines. Look for the pumpkin/Trick-or-Treat Street poster in front of the business and join in the fun!

Come out for a FREE afternoon of fun at the annual Epiphany Lutheran Trunk or Treat celebration! Enjoy Bible-themed trunks, games, treats, balloon twisting, and plenty of candy!

Trunk or Treat Off Mainstreet
Downtown Parker
1:00 PM–6:00 PM • Ages 2-14 • FREE!

Get your kids all dressed up to Trick or Treat safely off of Mainstreet with candy, goodies, and Halloween fun, including music, entertainment, and more. The event is free, but tickets are limited and have a timed entry, so registration is required. The first hour is for sensory-sensitive children only.

This year's Trunk or Treat will be festival-style, with open access to the trunks. There will be food and entertainment, games, candy, and costumes! Sensory-sensitive kids are invited to come early from 4:30-5:30 PM.

Students from CVHS clubs, activities, and teams will decorate doorways and hand out candy to any young trick-or-treaters who want to attend! In addition to trick-or-treating for candy, there will be music, games, and activities set up in different rooms for kids of all ages.

 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31

The Last Stop
Highlands Ranch Mansion
6:30 PM–9:00 PM • All Ages • FREE!

Ghouls and goblins of all ages are invited to end Halloween night at the Mansion and Historic Park. This is a free outdoors-only event, and the interior of the Mansion will be closed. A DJ will be playing Halloween music, and there will also be a cash bar with drinks for purchase, including a signature spooky cocktail.
