Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

Any dentist can call themselves a children’s dentist, but there is a difference between a general dentist who treats kids and a dentist who was trained in the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health of young people.

Dr. Kaelin is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, which means she attended two years of pediatric dental specialty training after dental school. She completes hours of continuing education each year to maintain her certification and to assure that she maintains the latest state-of-the-art pediatric dental care for her patients.

What sets Kaelin Pediatric Dentistry apart from other offices?

  • Dr. Kaelin... is a loving mom of two, and she genuinely cares for all of her patients as if they were her own. She has been serving the children of Parker and the surrounding communities for over 20 years. She specializes in infants, children, teens, special needs, and sports dentistry.
  • Our team... sees children from the time they are infants through their college years. We value our relationships with our patients and families, and parents are ALWAYS welcome in the treatment areas. We will ensure your child leaves with a smile on their face and education on how to take care of their teeth.
  • Our office... is state-of-the-art! It is decorated as a beach house front porch, where we have a gourmet beverage bar and WiFi. Children enjoy our sandcastle, and our older patients have fun in the teen room with our XBOX One and bean bag chairs. Each treatment room has Netflix and warm, cozy blankets to keep your child comfortable.

When should I make my child’s first dental appointment?

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) your child should have a dental home by their 1st birthday or 6 months after the eruption of the first tooth.

During the first visit, caregivers are taught how to care for their child’s teeth. The first visit also helps establish a comfortable and positive relationship between Dr. Kaelin and your child that will last through your child’s adolescence.
