Registration is Open for Kids' Zone Classes for 18 Months-6 Years

Parker Parks and Recreation offers a variety of affordable Kids’ Zone classes and events for ages 18 months to 6 years, designed to enrich your child’s life and grow a healthy self-esteem. Classes encourage motor development, creative expression, or social skills in a non-competitive, nurturing environment.

This fall, the exciting Kids’ Zone lineup of weekly classes includes:

  • Giggle Time (Ages 18 mos-2 yrs with adult): Obstacle courses and musical activities promise a great time!
  • Tiny Artists (Ages 2-3 with adult): Make crafts, do art projects, and enjoy time with new friends!
  • Gym Jam (Ages 3-6): Get your child in motion with fun and games focused on developing large motor skills and burning some energy!
  • Paint and Play (Ages 3-6): Nurture your child's creative spirit and natural sense of fun making arts and crafts. Plus, kids can burn off extra energy with sports and games in the gym!
  • Silly Science (Ages 3-6): Make ooey-gooey concoctions and have silly science fun!
  • Miniature Chefs (Ages 3-6): Look out, Betty Crocker! This new generation of chefs will help prepare nutritious dishes while acquiring skills in measuring, kneading, mixing, and following directions with an emphasis on kitchen safety, manners, and fun!
  • Boo Bash (Ages 3-6): Little witches and goblins gather 'round to have some fun with fall crafts, games, and sing spooky songs. Please wear a costume to the last class for trick-or-treating!

The Kids' Zone also offers several special one-day events that you won't want to miss:

  • October 17 – Sibling Silliness (Ages 5-11): Bring the siblings in for some silly fun! We will play games so you can work together and create a craft to remember this special day they had alongside each other. This class is for younger siblings who have older siblings on fall break. (Please register each child.)
  • October 24 – A is for Apple (Ages 3-5): Munch and crunch and paint oh my! In this class we will explore the parts of an apple by cutting into them. We will do hands on activities with different ways we can use an apple, see an apple or play with an apple. We will do activities based on 10 Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss.
  • October 31 – It's the Great Pumpkin (Ages 5-11): Have you ever seen or felt the inside of a pumpkin? In this class we will carve a pumpkin, do pumpkin seed counting and pumpkin crafts to celebrate this time of year.
  • November 13 or December 6 – Princess Tea Party (Ages 3-6): Her little highness will enjoy a day of socializing with the other princesses in the kingdom. Dress in your princess best and join us for tea and snacks.
  • November 20 – Fairy Tea Party (Ages 3-6): Dress like your favorite fairy and join us for tea and fairy snacks. All the fairies will also help plant a fairy garden!

Parent/child classes for children as young as 18 months may involve obstacle courses, sing-a-long songs, and seasonal crafts. Kids' Zone classes and events fill up quickly so don't wait... sign up online today!
