Halloween 2020 is ON!

Not only is Halloween on a Saturday this year, but it’s a full moon, a blue moon, and the end of Daylight Saving Time!

Much has changed this year but our love for the fun, fright, and delight of Halloween is as strong as ever… so let’s make Halloween 2020 one to remember!

Here are 5 creative ideas from Parker Party America to help you celebrate the season in a safe, fun, and unexpected way!

Set up a Trick or Treat Station

This can be as simple as a cauldron filled with wrapped candy set on your decorated porch or as inventive as an entire yard set up with themed decor and an accessorized table with individually wrapped treats.

Or, mix in a “Trunk or Treat” concept by parking your car at the end of the driveway, decorated in a spooky theme and filled with goodies galore!

Coordinate a Neighborhood Parade

Invite all the kids — including four-legged ones and kids-at-heart — to show off their costumes and socially distance while following a designated path through the neighborhood. Set up candy and treat stations along the way or have pre-packaged treat bags to hand out at the end.

Reverse Trick or Treat

Kids can stay in their yards or on their porches and adults walk or drive by to admire the variety of costumes and toss treats to the kids.  Make it into a decorating contest and vote for the spookiest yard, the most creative porch, and the one house that is simply “over the top.”

Set up a Halloween Hunt

Similar to an Easter egg hunt, hide candy throughout the yard or park and let the kids hunt for their treats! Choose larger candy to hide or fill plastic eggs or pumpkins with small candy and toys such as spider rings, balls, erasers, and stickers.

Keep it "All in the Family"

Make it a night of games, pumpkin carving, crafts, scary movies, and Halloween-themed food. Don’t skip the treats! Fill a piñata with candy and toys and let the kids smash and grab for their treats!
