Pay It Forward with Coats for Colorado ~ Donations Due by November 30

Updated for 2023

November 1, 2023

Did you know that Coats for Colorado was the first coat drive in the country?

Since its creation in 1982, Coats for Colorado has had a remarkable impact on our community by collecting, cleaning, and distributing more than two million coats in the Denver metro area.

The drive's popularity has inspired other initiatives across the U.S., and Dependable Cleaners continues to share its secret to running a successful coat drive. Now, there's a coat drive in almost every major city!

Every coat makes a difference in the lives of fellow Coloradans, and YOU can get involved in the #CoatsForCO initiative by sorting through coats in your closets or shopping for new outerwear.

What's in your closet?

Coats are a must-have for Colorado winters, but not everyone has access to such essential outerwear. Are you storing coats that you no longer enjoy or have outgrown? Have you stumbled upon an incredible deal on jackets at a local department store? Consider donating used coats or purchasing new ones for those in need this winter.

How can you help?

Drop off gently worn or new winter coats and jackets in designated boxes at partnering facilities and help others stay warm this winter. They accept coats for men, women, and children.

You can drop off coats during regular business hours at any Dependable Cleaners location between October 1 and November 30. They will clean the coats and then partner with local non-profit organizations to get them to those who need them.
