🤩 Acting for the Screen!

A Summer Camp from Performing Arts Academy (PAA) Taught by LA Casting Professional, Skyler Zurn

February 17, 2021

Calling all future TV and Movie Stars! 🤩  This summer, take advantage of a one-week acting camp focused on prepping young actors for roles in front of the camera!

The differences between acting for the screen and acting for the stage can make it difficult to master each technique. This camp will help students understand the differences so they can excel at both!

Using scenes from famous movies and TV series, students will learn how to approach acting with the confidence and precision required for television and film acting.

This camp is taught by current LA Casting professional, Skyler Zurn, who will also talk with students about the business of acting in LA, auditioning for casting directors, best acting tips, how to quickly adapt to material and characters, typecasting, and more!

Your student can master the more subtle, controlled, and natural expressions and gestures required for film and TV acting!

Acting for the Screen
June 21-25, 2021

Beginner: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Intermediate: 12:30 PM–3:30 PM

The beginner level is appropriate for students who have limited stage experience and little to no experience in front of the camera. The Intermediate level is for more experienced acting students, and those that have either taken Skyler’s workshop before or who have experience performing in front of the camera.

Acting for the Screen is for students entering grades 6-12 in the 2021-22 school year.
