Summer Camp Spotlight: Town of Castle Rock Youth Camps Serve Ages 4-17

Winter may be barely underway, but kids are already dreaming of summer. The Town of Castle Rock has a variety of fun, active, and engaging activities to keep kids busy and provide a memorable summer break.

The Town offers a wide range of Athletic & Adventure Camps for youth. Running from Tuesday, May 28, through mid-August, the Town’s full-day, half-day, and specialty summer camps are available for kids ages 4 to 17, with a variety of themes.

Kindergarten Prep (Ages 4-5)

Keep the learning going over the summer with Kindergarten Prep. This class is designed as a stepping stone to Kindergarten and fully prepares your child to begin the math, reading, spelling, and writing process. 

Rock Rec Camp (ages 5-13)

Rock Rec offers a unique balance of a traditional day camp experience in the beautiful 300-acre Philip S. Miller Park. With a combination of outstanding amenities, exciting programming, and energetic counselors, this structured and fun day camp will be the perfect place for your child.

Multisport Camp (ages 5-8 and 9-14)

This is the perfect camp for kids interested in a whole week of sports or learning a new sport. Campers can experience a different sport each day — including soccer, flag football, lacrosse, baseball/softball, and kickball. 

Gold Medal Camp (ages 7-12) 

These full-day and half-day camps are geared toward competitive athletes looking to develop their skills and personal development in a competitive environment. Sports include basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, inline hockey, cheerleading, baseball, softball, and flag football.

The Great Outdoors Camp (ages 10-15)

This camp takes advantage of the sprawling 300-acre Philip S. Miller Park, which includes the Miller Activity Complex (MAC), Millhouse, Amphitheater, Challenge Hill, Ziplines, Adventure Tower, Sky Trek, adventure playground area, and over ten miles of hiking and biking trails. Tweens and teens experience outdoor adventures that challenge them to try something new while growing outside their comfort zone.

In addition, the Town of Castle Rock offers a variety of specialty camps and clinics with outside contractors, including KidzArt, Fencing Academy of Denver, Inspire to Learn & Imagine, and many more.
