The Backcountry Outdoor Center, located at 6005 Ron King Trail in Highlands Ranch, is home to Base Camp, Archery Ranges, and Horse Corrals.

Camp Backcountry

From Mini Camp to Adventurers, Camp Backcountry is home to a summer's worth of exploring in the Backcountry Wilderness Area!

Backcountry Yoga Series
Select Summer Saturdays, Ages 18+
Invite fresh air and wild scenery into your practice at the Backcountry Yoga Summer Series for new and seasoned yoga lovers alike. The one-hour session, taught by an HRCA fitness instructor, is perfect for those new and seasoned yoga lovers alike.

Backcountry Outdoor Movie Series
Fridays & Saturdays, June 4-September 4
Take in the cinema under the stars! Watch your favorite films on the giant outdoor movie screen at Backcountry Base Camp in your camp chair and blankets.
Films include everything from favorites from The Goonies to Marvel's Avengers to Trolls World Tour! Tickets are $25 per car and $30 per person for 21+ nights.

Youth Drop-off Programs
Various Summer Dates, Ages 7+
Drop off your kid to build their dream fairy/gnome home, learn how to stargaze, hang with our goats, or try our orienteering challenge course!

Horseback Trail Rides

Enjoy a one-hour horseback outing that meanders through a portion of the Backcountry Wilderness Area's 8,200-acres of wildlife conservation property.
Youth Archery Lessons

Hit the target with youth archery lessons at the Backcountry Outdoor Center Archery Range taught by skilled instructors from Quick Draw Archery. From safety to skills, this is the perfect way to try the fastest-growing Olympic sport.
