Well, you no longer need to imagine! This is the idea behind Play Street Museum Highlands Ranch!
Play Street Museum is an interactive children’s museum and indoor play area purposefully designed to encourage a young child’s sense of independence, exploration, and creativity. By narrowing the focus of the museum to the interests and imaginations of children ages 8 years old and under, youngsters can discover educational exhibits and activities in a world crafted just for them.
Because of the deliberate and manageable scale, children can self-navigate through the museum, reinforcing independence while creating a relaxed and accommodating experience for children and adults alike.
Children will have fun imagining and pretending in the miniature Town Square buildings. Here, future chefs can whip up pretend pizzas, coffees, and ice cream sundaes. Future doctors, dentists, and veterinarians can practice caring for others and their pets. Future moms and dads can pretend in their own little house. And future firefighters can ride in the little fire engine and put out a pretend fire.
There are ample opportunities to explore the many interactive exhibits and kids’ activities throughout the educational play space, where future engineers can build trains, cities, vehicles, or transportation systems; or explore the effects of moving air or gravity. These are just some of the imaginative possibilities; they are endless!
Birthday parties at Play Street Museum are truly special! Every party is a private event, giving you the entire museum for your group. With several options and themes to choose from, there’s something for everyone... from a blank canvas for you to decorate as you please, to showing up with all the food and decorations provided!
- Option 1: “The Do-It-Yourself” parties include private use of the museum for 1½ hours, and you provide your own food and decorations.
- Option 2: “Sweet & Simple” includes the above, plus paper goods, invitations, juice boxes or lemonade, two dozen cupcakes, ten balloons, and goodie bags containing a return visit Play Pass for each guest.
- Option 3: “Sit Back & Relax” includes everything above, plus all the decor and food for all your guests. Play Street Museum takes care of EVERYTHING! Take a look at our themes on our website and choose your favorite!

Play Street Museum also offers fun add-ons to whichever option you choose, such as slime kits, pottery painting, crafts, goodie bags — you name it! We also have some birthday decor that you can rent to make your day even simpler. Each party has at least one dedicated employee to help unload your car and set up your decorations.
In addition to facilitating your party — and here’s the best part — we take care of ALL the cleanup! We’ll even load your car with the birthday gifts and decor.
Play Street Museum is conveniently located in the heart of Highlands Ranch, in the Whole Foods shopping center at Colorado and University Boulevards. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM for Playtime by Reservation and on weekends for special events, birthdays, and Weekend Playtime.
