Our Birth Place
Located on the second floor of Sky Ridge Medical Center, the Labor and Delivery Unit is warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed to meet your needs. We often hear patients say that they forgot they were in a hospital because the surroundings are more like a hotel. Sky Ridge was designed to be comfortable while promoting health and healing.
In addition to our inviting delivery suites, we offer skilled medical professionals who will help you through your labor and childbirth journey. Our team will coach you and provide you with the knowledge and support you need to make childbirth a safe experience that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Classes and Events
Having a baby is an exciting time for parents and families. But it can also be a time filled with many questions about labor and delivery, parenting, and safety. To help prepare expecting parents, new parents, and their families, Sky Ridge Medical Center provides a comprehensive Parent/Family Education program.

State of the Art NICU
As a Level III NICU, Sky Ridge offers comprehensive care to some of the smallest patients in our community. While no parent wants to think about having a child in the NICU, families at Sky Ridge can be assured that their babies are receiving the very best medical care and support.
This includes appropriate equipment, technology, staffing, and access to sub-specialist pediatricians to care for specific problems. Our NICU provides the best environment for premature and ill babies, born as young as 23 weeks, to grow until their parents can care for them just like a full-term baby.
The NICU at Sky Ridge features NICView baby cams for live video feed monitoring upon request, 23 private rooms, one triplet room and three twin rooms, two-parent "rooming in" rooms when parents need to be close to baby, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and state-of-the-art monitors and ventilators.
High-Risk Pregnancy Care
Whether or not a pregnancy is considered high-risk is determined by the presence of conditions that affect the mother (maternal conditions), the fetus (fetal conditions), or both. Maternal conditions may be pregnancy-related. Fetal conditions may be discovered through abnormal ultrasound findings. The level of risk involved in each pregnancy is different, depending on the type and number of high-risk conditions present.
