“When you treat a child in their home, you can utilize their natural environments," says Danielle Braman, an occupational therapist and the owner of Purple Turtle Pediatric Therapy. "It just makes sense to work in an environment that is familiar and safe for the child. I have seen lots of improvements when a child is treated in their home."
Purple Turtle was founded in May 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, Danielle decided she wanted the autonomy to treat children and help their families in a different way. After over 8 years in a hospital/outpatient therapy setting, the opportunity to provide family-centered care in the home setting inspired her to start Purple Turtle.
“I started seeing clients in the home during the height of the pandemic. Families felt comfortable as we took the necessary precautions to limit exposures (masks, hand washing, and sometimes virtual visits) to ensure their child’s safety.”
Danielle has training in NeuroDevelopmental Treatment, yoga therapy, and “Handwriting Without Tears.” She has worked in hospitals, clinics, and nature-based settings. She has experience treating a variety of children, including but not limited to those with autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and rare genetic conditions.

The Purple Turtle therapy team consisting of occupational and physical therapists are skilled and compassionate therapists.
