Be inspired by women in science!
March is Girls & Science Month, and the fun begins on Friday, March 1, with a Kick-Off Event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Meet the mentors and participate in hands-on STEM activities. Explore the many diverse opportunities a future career in science, technology, engineering, and math can bring. Bring the whole family for a night all about igniting a passion for science — try it on, test it out, and play!
Programming will run from 4:00–8:00 PM. The Museum will remain open until 9:00 PM.
Girls & Science knows that if girls can see it, they can dream it and BE it! Connecting girls with women mentors in STEM careers allows girls to ask questions, get inspired, and explore the many diverse opportunities a future career in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math can bring!

- Girls & Science Community Conversation on Thursday, March 14, at 7:00 PM on CBS News Colorado. The conversation will feature female mentors sharing their STEM field experiences with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver's youth participants.
- Meet the Mentor Special on Thursday, March 21, at 7:00 PM on CBS News Colorado. The special will highlight Girls & Science female mentors and their careers in STEM.
Another significant aspect of Girls & Science is the opportunity to register online for "GIRLS thINC Outside the Box" activity kits. Girls who subscribe to these kits have access to instructional videos and trained Girls Inc. educators to support their experience at home.
Boxes are specifically designed for girls 6-10 years old and include rich literature and immersive, hands-on activities to help girls tap into their inner strengths and explore new concepts from home.
As with all Girls Inc. of Metro Denver programs, the GIRLS thINC Outside the Box program is offered on a sliding scale, and no girl will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
