Momentum Athletic Center facilitates an incredible learning experience for its youngest athletes. Located at 10490 S. Progress Way in Parker, Momentum’s preschool gym was designed for developing little minds and bodies with preschool-sized equipment and plenty of space to explore, climb, and land softly.

Owners Marlene and Kevin Warr opened the gym in 2016 with the goal that any child who wants to do gymnastics should have the opportunity to do so. They continue to support their belief that youth sports should be about the children and their development and that kids learn best when they are positively reinforced and having fun.

Preschool gymnastics is a great way to develop motor skills, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, social setting. It’s not just about teaching preschoolers the foundation of gymnastics but about body movement, listening skills, and kinesthetic and cognitive development that transcends any sport.

Preschool Department Lead, Gabriella Toy, has been leading the Lil’ Movers preschool program for nearly three years. Gabriella has worked with children for as long as she can remember. As a teen, she spent summers helping with summer camps at the Texas preschool her mom operates.

“My favorite part is when a new skill clicks and they realize they discovered something new… their little faces light up.”  ~ Gabriella Toy, Preschool Department Lead

It’s not just our little athletes who appreciate what Gabriella brings to the Lil’ Movers program. Our most senior team coaches describe the program as an excellent foundation for any sport and say that Gabriella has an eye for natural talent. Most of our Level 1 girls started in our preschool program!

Momentum’s preschool program has expanded this year to include weekly open gyms open to the public and themed preschool camps during spring and summer breaks.

Preschool Classes

Baby Mo (ages walker+): This class is a fun bonding activity for you and your child. Lessons are designed to provide developmentally appropriate muscle movement with fine motor activities to keep your child entertained and active.

Bitty Mo (ages 2+): This is s transition class from parent-led to independent. The goal of this class is for each child to begin to learn classroom etiquette in tandem with their gymnastics skills. We focus on fine and gross motor skills as well as color and shape recognition. Your child will be encouraged to try new skills increasing self-confidence in their movements.

Mini Mo (ages 3+): This class is geared toward fine-tuning motor skills, balance, and coordination. Our specially designed program and equipment are scaled to fit preschoolers with smaller hands and bodies, allowing our tiniest athletes to do gymnastics “just like the big kids,” as well as improving school skills such as lining up, taking turns, and sorting letters and numbers.

Mighty Mo (ages 4+): This preschool program focuses on developing fine and gross motor skills, playground readiness, social skills, and gymnastics skills. This class is meant to grow your child’s flexibility and strength and increase their confidence and independence.

Advanced Preschool Gymnastics (girls ages 3-6): This program is invitation only for those who have demonstrated exceptional execution and understanding of skills and focus during class. We work on flexibility and strength, perfecting those foundational skills to carry them through their gymnastics career.
