212 Pizza Co is a small mom-and-pop restaurant in Castle Rock, Colorado, serving tasty artisan pizzas made with locally sourced organic ingredients. This family-friendly restaurant offers summer pizza-making classes to aspiring mini-chefs of all ages!
Pizza-making classes will be held each Friday and Saturday in June and July from 10:00–11:30 AM and are filling up quickly!
Delicious Writing Camp
212 Pizza Co has paired with Kid2KidLit, another Castle Rock business that provides writers with a creative space where they receive expert coaching from literacy specialists who cater to all writing levels.
Kids can join the fun this summer for a three-day Delicious Writing Camp. This tasty adventure provides opportunities for campers to find their voice and fall in love with cooking, writing, illustrating, and eating!
DAY ONE: Young chefs in Kindergarten through 6th grade will have the opportunity to craft their own pizzas and have lots of fun playing with dough and toppings! While the pizzas cook, campers will make their own cake pops.
Once the pizzas are ready, everyone will enjoy lunch as a group and have an open discussion about the writing process and begin brainstorming stories for publishing the next day. To end the day, we crank the tunes and personalize our pizza boxes!
DAYS TWO & THREE: Storytelling and writing begin. Each writer will be able to create and share their own stories in a published format.
Each child will leave camp with their own published book to share with family and friends. A copy can also be left at 212 Pizza Co for a larger audience to enjoy!
