Why did the donut go to the dentist? Because it needed a chocolate filling!

Hurts Donuts

Sure, you can have a chocolate-glazed donut. But you could also have a Maple Bacon Bar, a donut covered in crushed Oreo cookies with a gummy worm attached, or a classic Bismark topped with your favorite cereal.

How do you know if a donut is feeling sad or tired? Its eyes glaze over.

Krispy Kreme
7514 E. Parkway Dr., Lone Tree
(303) 649-9933

Krispy Kreme only does two things: coffee and donuts. Their Original Glazed Donuts are practically perfect! When my kiddos were little, they loved watching the donuts being made through the window. They would set their eyes on one and try to follow it to the end, hoping it would be their donut! Get a free donut on National Donut Day — no purchase required — and watch for their deals around holidays and special occasions (like graduation) all year.

LaMar's Donuts & Coffee
9360 S. Colorado Blvd., Highlands Ranch

With more than 70 rotating flavors, plus donut holes, fritters, and great coffee, you can satisfy your donut craving here! For National Donut Day 2023, they're giving away free Ray's Original Glazed donuts to all customers visiting our stores and hosting giveaways throughout the day.

What happened to the donut who played golf? He got a hole-in-one!

Small Town Mini Donuts
166 S. Main Street, Elizabeth
(720) 420-0838

Located in the lobby of the original Elizabeth Hotel, this cozy shop is worth a visit. Donuts aren't made until you order them, so they are as hot and fresh as can be! They have eight signature flavors, such as Campfire (think s'mores), McKenzie (Nutella with fresh banana), and Kennedy (apple pie filling and a dusting of cinnamon). You can also create your own Potluck donut with three toppings.

Is anyone's stomach growling yet? Just me?

Support our donut shops on Donut Day — they not only will fill that "hole" you've had in your stomach, but you can also feel good about supporting one of the local businesses that make living in Douglas County so special.

Happy Donut Day from Macaroni KID Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree!
