July 17, 2023

Performing Arts Academy (PAA) is bringing arts education back to our community in a big way — with more than 50 after-school classes and five fall shows that build character, self-esteem, and self-worth.

Through the Performing Arts Academy, your child has access to curriculum-based arts education that

  • Fosters Independence through age-appropriate responsibilities
  • Emphasizes teamwork and the importance of each individual’s part
  • Encourages kids to fail forward and work through challenges in a supportive environment
  • Nurtures authentic self-confidence

Arts Education benefits students in different ways:

DRAMA helps with understanding social relationships, complex issues, and emotions and improves concentrated thought and story comprehension.

MUSIC improves math achievement and proficiency, reading and cognitive development, and can boost SAT verbal scores and skills for second-language learners.

DANCE helps with creative thinking, originality, elaboration, and flexibility and also improves expressive skills, social tolerance, self-confidence, and persistence.

VISUAL ARTS improve content and organization of writing and promote sophisticated reading skills and interpretation of text, reasoning about scientific images, and reading readiness.

PAA offers a wide variety of curriculum-based performing arts classes for students ages 3 through adult. Classes operate on a 6-week and 10-week semester schedule, and students may enroll at any time during the semester.

  • The first 6-week session begins the week of August 21.
  • The second 6-week session begins the week of October 2.
  • The 10-week session begins the week of August 21.
  • There is a Shareformance at the end of the semester. Friends and Family are welcome to attend.
