There are many reasons why a parent or caregiver would seek mental health services for their child. Early intervention is key in helping children learn to cope with difficult situations or feelings.
Children are inherently resilient, but we still want to support them the best we can. Here are some common examples of why a parent or caregiver might seek services for their child:
- Divorce
- Death of a loved one
- Changes in family dynamic
- Changes in environment
- Bullying
- Abuse
- Major life changes
- Experiencing a traumatic event
- Trouble in school
- Sudden shifts in usual interests or habits
- Social isolation
AllHealth Network’s Early Childhood program caters to children ages 0-8. Trained therapists use common, age-appropriate interventions such as art therapy, play therapy, and animal therapy. Our therapists will work with your child’s team and support system to create an individualized intervention and care plan to strengthen their skillset and resiliency.
While therapy is an integral part of treatment, our Early Childhood program provides much more. Clients will receive wrap-around support for the entire family. AllHealth Network believes that the best path to success for any child includes well-rounded care for the whole family.
Our program can connect families with support for siblings, essential services like housing or food, prenatal and postpartum treatment, and more. Families with Medicaid will receive access to an abundance of services that will help the child and caregivers reach their treatment goals.
The Early Childhood team provides a wide variety of groups for caregivers, parents, and children of all ages. Group therapy is an often underutilized form of therapy. Groups allow individuals to feel connected to like-minded folks in their community and learn from one another’s experiences.
AllHealth Network has great relationships with several school districts within Arapahoe and Douglas counties. AllHealth Network behavioral health staff can provide mental health and substance use services within the elementary, middle, and high schools in these districts. All services are confidential and not shared with the school staff unless absolutely necessary. Students can be referred by parents, caregivers, or school staff to receive services during the school day. Check our website to see if your child’s school has an AllHealth Network therapist on site.
How to get started...
The quickest way to get your questions answered by one of our knowledgeable staff members is to call our Central Access team at (303) 730-8858. Interpreter services are available for all languages.
The Access to Care Specialist on the other end of the phone can walk you through the different services available to you and your family and explore your options based on your insurance or health plan. Once you feel confident you have the answers you need, you can schedule an intake appointment with the specialist.
Once your intake appointment is scheduled, intake forms will be texted to your phone. You can also download the forms online to complete them before your first appointment.
There are several things you should bring with you to your intake appointment for you or your child:
- Completed intake packet
- A referral, if you have one
- An ID and insurance information
- Your calendar
- List of questions about services
- Any relevant medical information or current medications

Want to refer a friend or loved one?
If you want to submit an e-referral online, you can do so at www.allhealthnetwork.org/community-partners/referrals. This can be a good resource if you are submitting a referral on someone else’s behalf. All you need to provide is basic information about the person you want to refer for services. The person should receive a call from an Access to Care Specialist within one business day.
