The journey to parenthood is exciting, and busy, and maybe a little stressful.
Your plate is full enough without having to plan the baby shower, too. Let Douglas County Libraries host your shower and take care of the party planning so you can stay focused on welcoming your new little one.
Our two-hour baby showers include all the special touches and memorable moments to celebrate the new arrival. Simply choose the DCL location for your celebration — Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, or Roxborough — and our professional event planners will handle the party planning and legwork for you.
Your shower will take place in the beautifully decorated library space you choose. We will set up all furniture and the adorable woodland animal-themed décor, as well as table linens, centerpieces, and a photo booth that will provide fun photo ops for you and your guests.
DCL Baby Shower Packages Include:
- A dedicated party coordinator
- Event setup and cleanup
- An invitation you may email to guests
- Your choice of three fun activities—you choose two
- Three craft activities
- Party favors for you and your guests
- Candies and snacks
- Water service and hot tea service
The pressure is off when you host your baby shower at DCL! You and your guests will have plenty of time to snack, chat, and play games, including "Don't Say Baby." The guest who can avoid saying "baby" the most during the shower wins a prize provided by DCL.
Have fun, catch up with guests, open gifts, and relax because it's your baby's storybook beginning.
Baby showers are offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The cost is $250 for up to 18 guests, including the guest of honor. Additional guests are $10 each.

The game Don't Say Baby is standard with all DCL baby showers. You may choose two additional games/activities for the day:
- Baby Shower Bingo: Guess which gifts the parents-to-be will receive
- Baby Price is Right: Guess the cost of baby items
- What Am I?: Guess different baby items by asking a series of Yes or No questions
More About Crafts
Three craft activities are standard with each baby shower package. Guests will enjoy decorating wooden blocks that go home with the parents-to-be, creating Polaroid photo crafts, and creating a keepsake baby scrapbook page that will be spiral bound into a complete scrapbook containing each guest's crafted page.
