Santa welcomed Colorado's tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree to kick off the Holiday season

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Colorado! 

The state’s Tallest Fresh-Cut Christmas Tree a majestic 55-foot white fir from Mount Shasta, California – has arrived at the Outlets at Castle Rock after a journey lasting several days. It was welcomed by none other than Santa Claus himself, kicking off the holiday season with festive cheer. The tree can be admired by shoppers at the 4th Street Courtyard, where it will proudly stand all season long.  

This cherished tradition offers endless holiday photo opportunities, with a vibrant display of festive decorations that fill the center with seasonal enchantment. 

See the tree lit up for the first time of the season at Outlets at Castle Rock’s free Tree Lighting Concert and Celebration on November 16 starting at 4pm! 

Fun Facts about Outlets at Castle Rock’s Christmas Tree: 

  • 15 feet taller than the big blue bear at the Denver Convention Center (40’) 
  • 10 feet taller than the Hollywood Sign (45’) 
  • 8,000 multicolored lights and 5,000 ornaments and bows adorn the tree
  • The tree will be meticulously prepared, with branches carefully added and adorned with lights, bows, and ornaments before the official lighting
  • The ornaments, lights, and bows are all treated with a fire-retardant coating for a safe, sparkling holiday centerpiece
