Douglas County offers several convenient locations to drop your live tree for recycling.
Before leaving your tree at one of the following drop-off sites, make sure it is COMPLETELY free of decorations. You must remove all lights, tinsel, garland, plastic wrap, wire, rope, nails, and other foreign materials.
Please note that trees with artificial snow sprayed on the branches cannot be mulched.
If you have broken, burned-out, or tangled sets of holiday lights, recycle them for free December 5th, 2024 โ January 2nd, 2025 with the city of Denver's recycling program. There are two free drop-off locations in Denver. Learn more HERE.
