Saint John’s Cathedral is delighted to welcome the Denver community, Coloradans and visitors from all over the world to discover CELESTIA, an awe-inspiring, visual story in light and music for its highly anticipated world debut at downtown’s landmark cathedral this summer.

The custom installation will reimagine the revered space and Gothic Revival architecture as a living canvas, inviting the community and audiences of all ages to embark on a visually stunning and emotionally profound journey through a fusion of light, projections and original music.
Designed to captivate a universal audience, CELESTIA offers a meaningful experience for those longing for connection and community, a fountain of inspiration for art and architecture enthusiasts, and a perfect opportunity for local families and tourists looking to make wonderous memories.
Showcasing local talent, an 8-person vocal ensemble will perform live along with CELESTIA’s original score during Friday and Saturday night presentations.

By harnessing creative innovation and cutting-edge technology, CELESTIA comes to life through 360-degree, three-dimensional projection mapping to transform the cathedral into a masterpiece of illumination, with orchestral music, soundscapes and a dreamlike ambience. Built at the start of the 20th century and designed by renowned architects Tracy & Swartwout, the cathedral carries a rich history with breathtaking intricate stonework meant to inspire awe and a sense of the divine. Together, these elements create the perfect setting to blend 21st century cutting-edge technology into an evocative storytelling narrative and transcendent journey that highlights this architectural grandeur in new and inspiring ways, allowing guests to see the cathedral in a new light.
