Explore, create, and experiment this summer at Camp DCL!

Choose from weeklong half-day camps at six DCL locations or full-day camps at select locations from June 3 through August 2.

Camps are facilitated by subject matter experts and supported by trained staff and volunteers. Camp themes include science, robotics, creative arts, LEGOs, cooking, and theatre, with each camp geared to a specific age range.

Prices vary based on the camp. A limited number of scholarships are available for qualified applicants from the Douglas County Libraries Foundation.


Castle Pines

  • African Safari Art Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Art and travel collide as campers explore African landscapes and discover awe-inspiring animals and cultures.

  • CSI Science Camp (Ages 7-12)
    Solve mysteries on our special forensics team and take your science skills to the next level!

Castle Rock

  • Global Taste Buds Cooking Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Young chefs will cook recipes from around the world and explore food history, culture, and languages associated with each recipe.

  • Aladdin Theatre Camp (Ages 8-12)
    Join Aladdin and friends on a magical, theatrical adventure. All experience levels are welcome.

  • Full-Day LEGO and Art Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Campers will split their days between designing amusement park rides, learning physics and engineering concepts, and creating beach- and ocean-inspired art.

Highlands Ranch

  • RoboPets LEGO Camp (Ages 4-6)
    Young campers will explore the world of robotics and learn the fundamentals of robotic design by building simple animal models.

  • Full-Day Cooking and Science Camp (Ages 5-10)
    A little of this and a dash of that make for some wild concoctions. Enjoy cooking challenges in the morning and ooey, gooey science each afternoon!

  • Colorful Art Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Campers will use color like never before to paint canvases, create sculptures, and design jewelry.

Lone Tree

  • Rumble in the Rainforest Art Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Journey to the Amazon rainforests of South America and learn about its amazing animals and ecosystems through art projects!

  • Full-Day Science and LEGO Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Campers will spend their days designing and building roller coasters and other mini-rides, as well as exploring the world of mini-figures and putting them to the test.

  • STEAM Creation Cooking Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Cooking and science are a match made in the kitchen! Young chefs will create tasty culinary masterpieces and conduct fun experiments with edible ingredients.

Parker

  • Full-Day Cooking and Art Camp (Ages 5-10)
    We’ll bring young campers’ favorite books to life through delicious recipes, followed by art sessions inspired by national parks, historical landmarks, and more!

  • Pokémania LEGO Camp (Ages 5-10)
    Campers will create their own training gyms, unique battles, and even their very own
    generation of Pokémon while also exploring real-world science.

    Campers will build a working wooden trebuchet and explore Newton’s laws of motion with
    tabletop catapults, and more!
