Walk the trails of Civic Green Park to find hidden art throughout the park.
Civic Green Park is a beautiful park. Flowerbeds, bushes, and the arboretum are immaculately cared for by the Highlands Ranch Metro District.
A fun feature of this park is the Overlook Stream, which is great for children who are afraid of splashing fountains but still want to get wet on a hot summer day. It is manufactured with concrete and rocks to look like a beach leading down to a stream. The Overlook Fountain has three water spouts and a rim around it where parents can sit and watch their children play. These features are open daily from April through late October.
The nearby playground has a climber playset with slides, ropes, monkey bars, a Geodome with ropes, a spring rider, a sit-and-spin, and a Kompan Supernova (spinning circle).
Across the large grassy field, you'll find the Interactive Fountain with multiple spouts. There is an amphitheater-like staircase around the west end of the fountain, and on the east side is the Case Pavilion which is great for performances, gatherings, or movies. The fountains are in operation from mid-May through mid-September from 10:00 AM–8:00 PM; however, they are usually turned off during events.
There are two shelters with tables, BBQs, electrical outlets, and a nearby building with bathrooms and a drinking fountain — everything you need for a fun, water-filled day at the park!
The Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument is a beautiful memorial for those who served our country. At night it is illuminated brightly, honoring their sacrifices for all to see.
Dogs are not allowed in Civic Green Park. Bikers must dismount when entering the park.
