This 12-acre park allows the community to come together, relax, and enjoy the outdoors.

Incorporated into the park is a fun scavenger hunt that uses way-finding, riddles, symbols, and rhymes to guide you throughout the park.

To the southwest, there is a large synthetic turf field with a building holding indoor bathrooms open to the public. There are also portable bathrooms on-site near the parking lot.

You can look east and see the playground and splash pad from the field — the playground blends into the natural surroundings. To enter the playground, you will have to go through or around what looks like an ancient adobe house. You will see clues and symbols along with a maze.

On the eastern side of the playground is the splash pad. Multiple streams shoot from the ground with a hidden waterfall in the back — a great way to stay cool! A grassy area shaded by trees surrounds the splash pad.

Elk Ridge Park playground is for ages 2-12 and focuses mainly on climbing. The north side of the playground has a giant covered slide. There are a couple of ways to get to the top of the slide. You can climb a staircase built into the side of the hill or climb up the rock wall on the hill. At the top of the stairs is a mesa with a sculpture garden. It holds a perfect view of the playground, splash pad, and the vistas below.

Between the restrooms and the giant slide is a tunnel that takes you into a valley with plenty of open space, natural hills, and vistas. There are three rentable picnic shelters here.
