Do you find yourself wondering what people do in their jobs every day? Are you interested in a job or a specific career, but you really don’t know exactly what to do to get there? Presenting Boots on the Ground, a new monthly speaker series.

Each month, a different guest speaker will talk about their chosen career path, their personal journey into their careers, and openly and honestly discuss the missteps they have experienced along the way. Speakers are from high-interest career fields as well as industries where Colorado is facing a shortage of qualified workers

Guest Speakers for April: Featured speakers for the month are a panel of Manufacturing Industry experts. This chance to talk with experts from Colorado Springs Advantage Manufacturing will help students understand what it takes for success in the industry. Students will hear about plant management, machine operations, sales/marketing, fabrication, and welding, which can all help prepare an aspiring teenager for a career in manufacturing. Colorado Springs Advantage Manufacturing is a local one-stop manufacturing shop for precision machining, metal fabrication, welding and robotic welding, laser cutting, finishing, assembly, and fulfillment.

Geared toward high school students; middle school students are welcome, but it is recommended a parent or guardian log in with their student.
