Corn Moon — reflect on a bountiful harvest. Hike up to a breathtaking overlook and experience the rising moon (7:18 PM) in a favorite resting spot. What are you grateful for? Sunset is at 7:00 PM, so you’ll be descending by the light of the full moon, using human night vision. Parts of the trail are steep, so wear appropriate footwear and bring walking sticks as needed. Bring flashlights if you choose.
Each summer, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free guided nature hikes led by professional naturalists throughout RidgeGate’s expansive bluffs trail system.
