Cherokee Ranch & Castle proudly welcomes Lora Thomas, former Douglas County Coroner, for her sell-out presentation, A Night With The Coroner. This segment showcases the 1991 United Bank Massacre. Proceeds benefit suicide prevention programs. Seats are limited.
The Father's Day Bank Massacre was a bank robbery and shooting that took place on Sunday, June 16, 1991, at the United Bank Tower (now the Wells Fargo Center) in Denver. The perpetrator killed four unarmed bank guards and held up six tellers in the bank's cash vault. An estimated $200,000 was stolen from the bank. Nearly three weeks later, authorities arrested retired police officer James W. King for the crime.
Denver Homicide Lieutenant, Jon Priest will cover each aspect of this horrific Colorado murder mystery. A Q& A will follow the presentation.
