💊 National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day (Adults)

Saturday April 22, 2023 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Local Law Enforcement AgenciesVarious locations throughout Douglas County CO

Description

Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet. Such drugs can also contaminate water supplies if not disposed of correctly. That's why local police departments have joined the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Drug Take-Back Initiative. Drop off unused pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medicines, no questions asked, and get them out of your home.

The following items will not be accepted: needles, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, liquid medicines, chemotherapy/radioactive substances, pressurized canisters, and illicit drugs.
