Description

Do you ever wonder how people got their food on the prairie in the 1800s? Before there were grocery stores, they had to grow and raise their own food! 

Explore a sod homestead village, experience the games and chores of children in the 1800s, and help plant vegetables in the garden.

Spring 2024 Programs:

  • February 29: Spinning and Weaving
  • March 14: Cooking in the 1800s
  • April 4: Plants
  • April 18: People of the Plains
  • May 24: Life on the Farm
